The Prisoners’ Dilemma virtual world simulation is an interactive learning activity designed to illustrate the bias against cooperation and demonstrate the most effective techniques for motivating more cooperation among individuals and entities. Drawing on game theory and student preferences for virtual world learning simulations, the Prisoners’ Dilemma virtual world simulation that was a 2012 Federal Virtual World Challenge finalist features numerous layers of resource materials for student use as well as an interactive game. Presentation attendees will learn how to use the simulation in a virtual classroom setting as well as will be given a digital copy of the Prisoners’ Dilemma simulation along with the accompanying the lesson plans.
